The Conservative position, unless they intend to reverse the past decade's policy, is to keep selling off the courts, keep waiting times for trials at 2 years+, continue to deprive the needy of legal aid, and maintain the Innocence Tax, despite it hitting one of their own MPs.

Restoring the Legal Aid budget they actively helped the Tories to slash to pieces during the austerity coalition? Isn't this exactly the same kind of deceptive political stunt as the Tories bragging about hiring extra police, but not as many as they slashed in the first place?
