So ... @peta is calling for Bevo and Uga to retire after the Texas and Georgia mascots got into a little dust up before the Sugar Bowl.
Seriously, this is a real life press release.pic.twitter.com/dpK2Ogbg4n

You know why bulldogs are named bulldogs right?
Animals did what animals do and people flip out!
It’s that red cape he wears.
The best part of this is that both of these animals live PETA’s dream life (particularly for a cow...). They’re pampered, entertained, have the best veterinary care available, and no risk of slaughter. PETA should be demanding that ALL universities have live mascots.
Perception is in the eye of the beholder. And horns...
PETA is so out of touch they used a picture of a pit bull (a dog they kill) to tell people not to leave their dogs chained outside. Even when I agree with them they are wrong.
Uga is the least stressed animal in the country.
As a bulldog owner myself, I doubt seriously Uga lives in a dog house.. probably lives in a house nicer than yours..
Hey, you were terrified of Jake and he was even smaller. Just saying...
They said perceived, granted by that’s a big word and all but...
Tell PETA to go to HELL !!!!!!!!!!!
Give me a f’UGAn break
PS: UGA is NOT owned by U of Georgia. He’s a privately owned family dog that just happens to go to the games, has his own doghouse (with A/C) on the field etc. Now, he “could” be a threat if you’re an Auburn player
Grow up, PETA
Turn Bevo into some hamburger.
I mean in Colorado a rancher can legally shoot a dog if it spooks their steer or cattle. Dog may not directly kill the big bull but a spoked bull running and breaking a leg or injuring another cow is a problem. When I train bird dogs for hunting they learn to stay away from cattle
Those 2 animals live a better life than your or I or anyone at peta could imagine. #gtfoh
