The "spicy" sandwiches at fast food restaurants aren't spicy for the simple reason that these restaurants cater to customers who can't eat spicy sandwiches - but order them anyway.

Spicy means they used some red dye and added a lil bit of pepper.

I have always thought that myself. They call it spicy but as hardly any spice to it. Whom is a spicy for? 😋

There’s a burrito chain here in the U.K. called Tortilla, and they have mild, medium or hot salsa. For ONE day they had an “extreme hot sauce” that was actually hot. It got removed from the menu because there were too many complaints in a single day 😂

Has there ever been a single food item at any fast-food joint that was truly, honestly spicy? In my experience the answer is an emphatic no.

Some day I hope there will be an Indian Fast Food restaurant that will serve a tear-inducing vindaloo as a menu staple.
