The competition between shows these days is extreme. There are so many shows and still the same number of hours in a day. 😀Strong out of the gate is a must. 🖖

I don't even mind a few episodes for a show to find it's legs, but "seasons"?

I give books three chapters, shows three episodes, movies thirty minutes. If I can’t figure out a way to plug in by then, I gently, lovingly conclude that it’s not for me.

There are a lot of shows in which I've only seen S1. Either I forgot about them, lost interest in them, or didn't have the patience to wait for the next season. Speaking of which, someday I'll get around to watching The Mandalorian S2 & Ozark S3, or just start something new! 😂

Some of my favorite shows didn't really click until later seasons. I think it is fine to let storytellers take their time.

My rule of thumb is if by the 3rd episode,I don't enjoy the premise of the story or know what the hell is going on #IWontBeWatching

Heh...I've been explaining to people, that if a show has a premise that interests me, you have SIX episodes. After that, if you haven't caught me, I'm out.

I find a lot of shows I love have a slow first season.. because of teething problems but once they get comfortable it becomes something great.
