It takes a writer weeks, sometimes months to craft a pitch. It takes a decision-maker less than a few minutes to respond, even if it's a simple "No, thank you." But, all too often, even that seems like a bridge too far for them.

I just want to say you are one of the best writers out there and I appreciate everything you have done to bring these stories to life. It's heartbreaking when they reject pitches. I understand rejection all too well. Thank you for all of your hard work.

For all its evils, Amazon has turned publishing upside down for authors, and I'm wondering if they'll do the same for video/film. If so, try again!

Yep. Back in the day when I was hoping to be the next Michael CrI n’t on (Medicine & writing) before turning my attention to the medical field completely, I experienced this. My favorite rejection comes from when I pitched to Alex De Benedetti (son-in-law of Dino Delaurentiis).

Why say something so definitive as 'no', when you could leave it as an open, ass-covering 'maybe', just in case.
