Hartz also. There is a big site with 100s of stories. Mine included. Flea powder killed my kitty.

Oh and just last night I was thinking on buying it for my 3 fur babies. Thanks for the warning, Joe.

It's shocking that a vet would suggest this be bought from a store. This isn't the only flea collar that has killed a large number of animals through poisoning. If your vet recommends doing this change to a competent vet immediately.

That is very worrying. Thought I'd check if this was available in the UK. Not only is it sold in a large well known pet supermarket but also recommended by online vet/pet
suppliers.
Thanks for the heads up, Joe!

omg thank you for this. I have been using this collar the past couple of years, but will not take the chance anymore.

Thanks Joe. Was literally thinking about getting one for my 8 yr. old 'pup' a few days ago.
Sure glad I didn't.
(And you may have just saved my four legged companion's life, too. I'd be lost without him.)

Also sold under the brand name Hartz. I've heard for years to never buy anything from Hartz, and yet their products are sold in thousands of stores.
Toxic wrapped around the neck, this was an issue back in 1978, I asked why the teacher didn't have one on her dog, she explained. Never bought one for any of my pets. Peace Beth
