The 3rd Circuit suggested federal courts could never, ever question a state court ruling on how counties conducted their elections. Apparently, they never read Bush v. Gore. What did Bush v. Gore do? That doesn't matter, the ruling may not be precedent, but SCOTUS has jurisdiction over State Supreme Courts if the issue touches on the US Constitution, as b v g did and this does.

Precedent is precedent. You can't just go like "yeah, we know what we're doing, and you should never do it."

This was always destined for SCOTUS anyway. Lower courts are activist or don't want to touch the issue.
