God had not given us a spirit of fear. When did society and big Pharma convince people to expect to be sick and senile in old age? I’m still writing, take up hobbies, volunteer, etc. At the age of 86 I’m not ready to sit and do nothing!

You should be encouraging others of your age group that are not so blessed with the understanding of life as you. God gave us each gifts to use to strengthen FAITH in Him. Sounds like you just described one of yours... strength in age.
