Agree, but there are plenty of underserved urban areas as well (look at NE KCK or east of Troost). Ubiquitous broadband should be the goal. It is one of the most important utilities we rely upon in 2020 and beyond.

10 miles outside of Topeka and I have horrible service (<2Mbps down). HB 2742 from this last session would have created a 2% tax on medical cannabis sales for broadband expansion. When someone asks how we pay for it, that’s how.
