To be fair, if a woman does the same amount of work with the same quality...money should be equal. End of discussion.
It's #EqualPayDay today — how far into this year that the average woman must work to earn what the average man earned last year. As the first woman doctor in the Senate, I'll advocate for equal pay for equal work.

They already do (or at least, pretty close, about a 2% difference). The issue is mostly that women typically take less physically demanding jobs, thus make less money compared to men who take higher paying trades. Also there's an issue of women getting promotions.

Equal pay is *mostly* true according to statistics. A woman working the same job as a man in the same position makes around 98 cents for every male dollar (it was $0.99 up until 2015). The issue is that women typically take lower paying jobs than men.https://www.payscale.com/data/gender-pay-gap …
