We haven’t elected a Dem to the US senate since 1932. A tie is a really big deal. Yes Kobach is hot garbage but this state has been red so long gop hasn’t had to think about it since our grandmothers were young.

Wow, Kansas must have a real turn-out problem if Kris Kobach is getting 43% of the vote. You need to get feet on the street and register people to vote, door to door, set up donations for rides, picture IDs, taking time off work, whatever. No way there's that many idiots in KA.

Here’s my take. It’s a red state. Moderates and liberals have been brainwashed for decades that their votes don’t matter, so they do not turn out. The 2018 gubernatorial race showed that people turned out to defeat Kobach, including a lot of GOP voters.
