Not all reform ideas to curtail president’s power are constitutional, but one important fix is to expedite court review of a president’s refusal to comply with congressional subpoenas. Trump was able to stiff arm the House with the election clock ticking.

Best analogy I have heard in response to argument that quid pro quo is not impeachable if it helps election: POTUS could withhold military aid from Israel unless it announces opponent is anti-Semite. What are some other good analogies?

The “rushed and flawed” argument is a fig leaf. It was flawed only because Trump stonewalled House subpoenas. It was rushed because going to court to enforce them would take us past the election, the very thing Trump’s impeachable misconduct is trying to rig. Roy Cohn wins again.

Agreed. was nothing short of brilliant. Law students should watch his arguments and learn. Concise, factual, compelling. I hesitate to say “performance” because that inaccurately suggests it was just a show. He was effective because of his conviction.

If senators vote to acquit Trump without more witnesses, then we have just seen what will become the playbook of the future - stonewall on subpoenas from Congress and they can’t prove you committed an offense.
