    Presenting: the playful ‘potamus. She has started to mimick mom Kindia by mouthing her food, including alfalfa hay. Pygmy hippos will start eating solid foods at ~ 2 to 4 months of age and they are weaned at 6 to 8 months.

    Our baby pygmy hippo continues to nurse from mom Kindia, either standing up or lying down, whatever is most comfortable for them both. Pygmy hippo calves are weaned at about 6-8 months, and start eating solids at around 2-4 months of age. She now weighs 13.7kg

    Using my very unofficial parody account to hopefully do some good for a local puppy. Someone kicked this sweet baby girl, and she needs some help if you can. Thanks, friends!

    ANY amount is appreciated. Our owner picked up this sweet puppy this morning & took her to the vet ASAP we need help to get her better. The vet bills have already exceeded $2300 TIA

    Scrub a dub dub, our baby pygmy hippo is in the tub! 💦 Our pygmy calf is given a bath every morning and she loves it. The Keepers observe her rolling over in the bath and even blowing bubbles!

    Watch our pygmy hippo calf and mom Kindia have a snuggle in their mini pool. She doesn’t know how to “swim” quite yet as she is still quite young, but she is very curious and fond of water. Keepers often observe her climbing into her water dish for a quick dip
