You can make them look different from each other without making them obese.

She's not obese jsut curvy IMO. And fat people are allowed to exist in works of fiction. Skinny is the default. Not skinny people's fault but neither is it fat people's fault that creators have to conciously weite or draw in different body types.

Of course they are allowed to exist. Freedom of speech/expression. But when you take a pre-existing character and make her fat for the sake of making her fat, I'm gonna call you out.

Why? It's not a huge deal. And its not new. The new Jem and the Holograms comics use a multitude if body shapes. Drawing an 80s toy character chubby seems pretty innocuous in the grand scheme of things. People created balck superheros for the sake of having black superheros

Promoting an overweight/obese body type should not be encouraged.

Or do fat characters only deserve to exiat if they're big eater stereotypes who exist solely for comic relief or the focus of some healthy living moral?

I said promoting obesity shouldn't be encouraged. I didn't say those promoting it should be censored. Big difference. They can exist all they want. I don't have to like it. And making a thin character fat for the sake of making her fat IS promoting being overweight.

How? All she's doing is existing. Have tou considered that maybe the creators dont think being fat is awesome but maybe just want charavters who don't all have the same body type? And its aleays owmem too. No ome ever cares if male characters or fat.

Taking a thin character and making her fat is giving out the message, "THIS body type is better." And it's not. Being overweight and obese is one of the leading causes of death in America. If someone took Captain America and turned him into a fat slob, I'd be just as annoyed.

Funny. You just assume that creators are thinking "this body shape is better" when they probably don't give a shit and just redrew the character how the wanted because inclusivity doesn't hurt

If the creators care about "inclusion" and diversity" they iso facto do "give a shit about body types" and it is absolutely fair to read political motivations and messages into their choice to include fatties. You can't have it both ways.
