Here's a thread on politics, Sean Hannity, and journalists "crossing lines". I'm moving to comics right after this one, so feel free to "swipe right" if this isn't your cup of tea. But it's voting day, so it all feels relevant. /1 #VotingDay #Politics #Bias

For the record, I’m not a fan of Sean Hannity. This is old news; I've disliked Hannity as the "dumber" version of Bill O'Reilly for 15 years. To me, he's always been a shill... and a bad shill. I think his brand of news appeals to people who don't watch the news. /2

But of late the dislike of Hannity has increased tenfold among the media and members of the left. Hannity has been an unabashed supporter of President Trump, which is at the core of the dislike. Many have called into question a conflict of interest since he's a journalist. /3

They hate him for abandoning the political establishment in lieu of an outsider. He could've become a berniebro and he'd face much the same response (except of course he'd have been fired by FOX). They don't hate that he's a GOP shill, he's always been that.

... they hate that he's not toeing the nevertrump principled-trucon line like the rest of the "conservatives" in the media. He's a threat to the carefully curated overton window as presented by cable news networks.
