November 3, 2020 is a date that will go down in history. Not bc it’s a presidential election, but because it’s a vote to return our country to all Americans again. We are currently under some Authoritarian take over attempt. We need to vote out Right Wing, civil war v2 attempt.

We see this scenario endlessly play-out-- accomplished politicians, businessmen and scientists who think that they manipulate Trump for their own purposes, who end up w/ their reputations in shambles. Trump can't be played, he's a tank crushing everything in his path.

Exactly. Hitler reinvented himself in the 20's into a dark, charismatic speaker, and was able to draw in vulnerable Germans. There are parallels between Trump and Hitler that cannot be ignored. It's deeply disturbing at this point, to say the least.

What baffles me is how such a small and petty person could become such a huge problem. He needs to be incarcerated until he dies.

Exactly Bandy, and sadly America is uniquely vulnerable because we have such a strong denial that such a thing could ever happen to us. It is part of our programming to view ourselves as the good guys: a beacon of light for the world. That can mask things until it is too late.

Well put. This has been building up — so slowly most don't (or won't) notice — since the 1960s. Complacency, but mostly a political structure that increasingly allows citizens minimal control over "their" government, has put us where we are. The coup has occurred — out of sight.
