If you have not yet done so, please sign the petition, below (it is quickly approaching 3000 signatures!): This is a matter of resisting silencing, intimidation, and the erasure of intellectuals (like journalists), which is a hallmark of authoritarianism.

*Lieberman was recently removed from his position at Columbia after a racist comment, but his chief role in enabling a massively murderous president has gone mostly unnoticed.

We are facing a national, if not global, mental health crisis. Psychiatrists, instead of helping, have been profiteering, of which Jeffrey Lieberman and the APA have been primary examples.

As I have repeated, certain mental symptoms are contagious, and we have a perfect media setup for rapid spread. Like an epidemic or a pandemic, if we do not apply scientifically-proven methods for containment, they spread exponentially.

He is setting up Joe Biden to be impeached/prosecuted. As I said previously, contrary to the speaker’s insistences, if we do not impeach/prosecute legitimately, it INCREASES the chances of illegitimate impeachment/prosecution.

This is painful to listen to, but illustrates why we need to identify severe mental pathology in the public sphere: (As you will see, pathological projection is very precise—in the exact opposite):

It shows how just a little knowledge is a dangerous thing (this holds especially true for psychology, since things usually reverse, once we delve one layer beneath the surface).

It is very peculiar: those without psychological expertise freely speak about psychological matters as if they knew everything. Yet, when we comment on political matters (even when they concern human psychology), we are told not to speak of things we know nothing about.

Let us be clear: George W. Bush started a culture of war through his illegitimate “war on terror.” Donald Trump accelerated a culture of war through his worship of Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un. These are far greater psychological causes of war than Joe Biden.

This is why accountability needs to be commensurate to the crime, not deferential to the power they hold.

There has been no president with more felonies before, during, and after his presidency than Donald Trump. He has not been held accountable because, like a gangster, he attacks before anyone can hold him accountable (e.g., his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton).

When you understand the psychological dynamics, not just profiles of leaders but responses of populations, you can either manipulate them for destruction or heal them for greater affirmation of life. We have many manipulators but no affirmers (mental health professionals).

Our government is close to making disastrous mistakes by refusing to consult with mental health experts. When it was supposed contain the Russian leader, it supported him. When it is supposed to be providing a way out for our collective survival, it is cornering him.

We know what happened to psychiatrists: A large number who were told not to speak about his mental impairments resigned from the APA. A non-member who spoke up was fired (citing “the Goldwater rule”). A member who broke “the Goldwater rule” to help Trump got federal funding.

NY prosecutors not allowed to indict Donald Trump for his numerous felonies resigned. A special counsel not allowed to prosecute him pulled out (citing an “OLC memo”). Congress Members not allowed to impeach him wiggled out (giving delusional excuses). Who is protecting him?

Something got dubbed over after “the Goldwater rule”—I stated that the “rule” itself is a form of violence, stemming from a corruption of institutions. By now, it should be obvious that fawning over a powerful political figure at the expense of societal safety is not “ethics”.

I said in early 2018, late 2019, and early 2021 that, if we did not hold him accountable then, it would be harder later. Again, it must be done now, or it will only get harder.

“Limit setting” is a psychological technique for handling dangerously disordered individuals. You apply principles of harm reduction and containment as a form of treatment. You do not encourage their wishful thinking that nothing is wrong with them.
