Thats nice...but whats gonna stop him from becoming an officer in another county or state?
probably nothing...that's what usually happens,,,unless, by some miracle, he is charged and found guilty of a criminal crime...that might be the only hope that he's never hired as a LEO again
So, you accepted his resignation rather than firing him? He’ll join another department and will do this again.
even if he was fired he’d still get hired in at another department. a regular person getting fired for physical violence at their job would find it very hard to get another job quickly. a cop? all they gotta do is go to the next town over.
Yall aint this quick when the officer white tho
In other words he is free to assault someone as a police officer in another police department
Yep! You know how the Blue Line Game is played and we can all deduce that MORE of this Thug like #BullyInACostume criminal violence is happening, just not all caught on camera.
They should both be fired & charged with assault.
Prosecute for assault and battery and abuse of power
@BaltimorePolice, does resigning instead of firing let the officer keep his pension and collect unemployment? Bad cops need to be fired and banned from working in law enforcement nationwide.
Agreed. They have no fear of repercussion. That needs to change.
It doesn’t take very long to bring charges against a black policeman (and, mind you, it was the right thing to do), but it seems hell has to freeze over before charges are brought against a white officer doing the exact same thing...or worse.
That officer who resigned needs to be criminally charged. This ball must not be dropped. That is street justice he sought and is totally unacceptable from a professional law enforcement officer. Just plain shameful.
