My father was granted release on parole today, after more than 40 years in prison!

Of all the innocent and people behind bars for non-violent and innocent crimes, powerful people choose to lessen the sentences of violent criminals. Why though? Why him?

I think there are a lot of people behind bars for victimless crimes that powerful people can pardon or have their sentences commuted. They should be pardoned first. Obviously this guy has connections. Must be nice.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been let out, I’m saying there are people in prison who should have been let out before him. People who aren’t connected. Black people.
