Fertiliser on tap, checking out our self-service silo at Seales Winslow, south of Ashburton. We now have 6 across the country. Farmers and spreaders can access fertiliser outside of normal office hours

Great to be a part of this 3 year project on Fodder Beet fertiliser use. Fertiliser can be greatly reduced without yield penalties.

How does reducing water use give a corresponding reduction in nutrient need?

We just didn't have spring, what can we say? 😂😭🤷‍♀️It's been feeling slightly better these last few weeks though. What also isn't shown is the impact on crops here. Around 60 growing days lost. Hoping for some compensatory growth. 1st pic 16 Dec, 2nd pic yesterday of same crop

Southland has some serious issues. Just measured a top operating dairy farm at Te Tipua with a pasture growth of 44 a day over the last seven days. Just to compound the issue the uncertainty the government has created on environmental reforms

Every month we get the growth data from Woodlands, Southland. Overtime this information can make for some interesting viewing. Just look at the massive hole our mates down in are dealing with at the moment.

To all livestock farmers: keep an eye out for rust in your pastures. Growing conditions (hot/humid) right now are classic for rust and excema spores ramping up! Anyone have any spore counts yet?
