Why are we talking about ‘African gangs’ when white men are literally murdering their girlfriends and wives every day?

Can someone tell me why we are so afraid of China? And globalisation in general? China is superior to Australia in many ways - we would be wise to maintain a good trading relationship with them. Anything else would be nationalist.

Instead of creating a new day for Indigenous people (literal segregation), why can't this racist country just already?!

We need more fresh produce imported from overseas to minimise the harm of more incidences like these. If we had more diversity, there wouldn't be a huge moral panic surrounding fruit purchases right now. Diversity really is our strength. (3)

Now, my take: I understand this argument and I agree that it's important to support local farmers/produce. BUT. It's also vital that we realise this incident would be much less disastrous if supermarkets sourced their produce from a more diverse range of farmers. (2)

On the train this morning, I overheard a group of white men discussing this issue. They all agreed that everyone should just toughen up and cut their fruit before eating it, because it's important to support local farmers during this tough time. (1)

Nothing makes me nauseous like the smell of meat when sitting in restaurants with my carnivore friends. Everyone pls go - if not for my stomach, for the environment! Or ya know, the poor animals being slaughtered.

Is there a sexual predator Donald Trump hasn’t defended? Is there a victim of sexual assault Donald Trump hasn’t attacked? Whatever happened to moral leadership?

“White people can never understand whether or not they are racist.” This is so accurate. We do not know the individual struggles of POC, so how can we know every time we are being racially insensitive?

It’s not a ‘culture war’ between the left and the right. It’s people who have morals standing up against people without any.

First and probably last time I’ll ever agree with Germaine Greer. Any kind of non-conensual sex is 100% rape.

“Must women behave like men in order to succeed?” - it’s sad that we still have to ask this question in 2018.
