      @mjtsai No such beast. Thunderbolt does not fan out like USB.

          @mjtsai I thought it had three chips, each with 2 ports. I do know that not all the ports are the same, so muxing?

          @Bagelturf The first article I found was wrong. You are right; the Mac Pro has 3 Thunderbolt buses, 2 ports each. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5918
