I don't understand this one. What does "sparse" mean here?
"Uncommon", "Relatively unlikely to be posited". Overall: An hypothesis X which, if true, would mostly yield observers who wouldn't posit X

Ah. Hypotheses which are evidence against themselves.

Like hypotheses that imply most observers are Boltzmann brains who would not have observed the evidence that suggested the hypothesis.
