might be me playing at being special but if i saw someone do/express something i thought was specific to me i wouldn't be all

"wow i thought iiii was the only one!!" i'd be like "why did you do that, how did you learn that" unless it was mundane

I think there are two responses- first is that curiosity you just described. Truth/meaning-seeking

second is personal/relational validation of the experience, for the original person's sake. Legitimate & necessary, & personal

but a lot of ppl lose sight of the purpose of the second thing, and learn poor strategies for supporting each other
