in reality, most experiences like this do go unshared, and if they didn't, they'd be picked apart by The Discourse

"when you X" and "who else does this? /wow i thought i was the only one!" seem to work at satisfying this desire

not sharing the experience, but CONFIRMING it

on a related note, i feel repulsed by those, especially a reddit-style "i thought i was the only one" bandwagon

maybe bc the difference here is they don't want to share the experience, they want to confirm the experience was shared

might be me playing at being special but if i saw someone do/express something i thought was specific to me i wouldn't be all

"wow i thought iiii was the only one!!" i'd be like "why did you do that, how did you learn that" unless it was mundane

I think there are two responses- first is that curiosity you just described. Truth/meaning-seeking
