i don't know why i care that i share them. maybe to reassure myself they're worth remembering. or maybe so i can be comfortable forgetting.

i'm not sure why i wanted to share this.

you didn't get listened to as a kid. Normals have faith that such solitary experiences are and will be validated

in reality, most experiences like this do go unshared, and if they didn't, they'd be picked apart by The Discourse

"when you X" and "who else does this? /wow i thought i was the only one!" seem to work at satisfying this desire

not sharing the experience, but CONFIRMING it

on a related note, i feel repulsed by those, especially a reddit-style "i thought i was the only one" bandwagon

maybe bc the difference here is they don't want to share the experience, they want to confirm the experience was shared
