I think the Where Mathematics Comes From people could make a more convincing argument if they looked at how different conceptual factorings of new technology led to more or less popular adoption of the tech

If they are right you would expect factorings that are in terms of the kinesthetic and bodily stuff they like to yield increased adoption/use
