I was playing this last night, and I did not expect that this disclaimer was going to ring so true by today. This is the GoldenEye remaster from 2007. But at least this never officially released, and it leaked 14 years after the fact.

What I find the most unbelievable is that this wasn't the work of a disgruntled ex or soon-to-be ex-employee. Manhunt 2 leaked this way, and I'm sure the RDR2 map and story leaked that way, too. I was reading about the Uber hack the other day and was not expecting GTA to connect.

Lol, my video on all this is probably just gonna be GTA IV footage. We've all seen VI now & I'm sure this is all very exciting for a lot of people, but even though the cat's out of the bag I have a feeling that R*/T2 are going to use as many resources as possible to fight this.

The shelved GoldenEye remaster from 2007 vs the one that's coming out this year. Rare put a lot of effort into reworking and upgrading the visuals back then, and it was gonna have multiplayer, too. I'm happy we're getting a port finally, but the remaster would have been awesome.

Screenshots of GoldenEye on Xbox. It looks like this WON'T be the canceled 360 remaster that Rare worked on in 2007, but a new higher-res port of the N64 version. I guess they're sticking with the classic style now instead of changing up the character & weapon models like before.

I've noticed GTA IV getting a little more love these days, they reshared this article from 2018. The game did in 2008 what other games still have trouble with today. Although they do say that the amount of cheap jokes around (i.e. TW@) undercuts things a little.

I think I had more fun finding glitches in Saints Row and trying to break the game than I did playing it normally. I should have been a QA tester.

West End Girls is the perfect cloudy/rainy day song. I wish it was in a game set in London, but it was in GTA V, so at least millions more people still got to hear it in the strip club. I feel like it would have fit really well in GTA IV, too.

They played Africa by Toto on two different radio stations at the exact same time earlier. I switched off one station and the next one was playing the exact same song, just a few seconds behind. Feels kinda like the planets aligned for a moment.

The budget and resources at Volition vs Rockstar is not comparable, but even games made by bigger and better-funded teams still haven't been able to match GTA IV's physics. NaturalMotion's Euphoria is something else. It's also integrated into Rockstar’s proprietary engine.

Provided that I'm able to get enough stuff done tonight, I may be streaming Saints Row: The Row-Boot (they called RFG's remaster "Re-Mars-Stered," I can call it that). I have no idea how I feel about this game yet.

Not to start hating on this game, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed from this and other clips that the voice acting and dialogue during gameplay ranges from okay to pretty lame.

I see Rockstar are going full fuckers mode again, issuing copyright strikes to any GTA video they can find - including both my prototype videos. So now they're trying to block all release of anyone's work on a game - and any old development footage.
