    If zip codes were introduced today you just *know* Republicans would fight it tooth and nail and call it a gay socialist Marxist plot to indoctrinate our children

    As I probably intuitively understood, zip codes didn’t always exist. As I absolutely did not know, there was a major advertising campaign in the 1960’s to get people to use them.
