OK Go is a great band and they love science (slate.com/technology/201). I'm trying to find more info but all the stories are behind paywalls. If I find out more I'll post it. #okgo

Our friends @okgo are really being sued by @postcereals for their name, even though they had it long before Post did. Crazy and wrong but true! If you agree, please spread the word. Maybe we can stop this together. #okgo (pardon the repost but forgot a hashtag!) -John F. TMBG

Makes no sense. Post uses the format "ok go!" in a specific font. The band's format is "OK go". No reasonable person is going to mistake the two formats. Ok go is a common phrase. - As reference Girl Scouts of America had to back off their "Scouts" lawsuit gains "Scouts BSA".

It appears that the band sued Post first. If this is so, then the band is in a weak position, since music and breakfast cereals aren’t usually in the same space. For example, there used to be a bra maker named “Warner Brothers”.

folks: a declaratory judgment action is not "suing someone for having their name first." it's not "trying to bully you out of your name" as @billboard quotes the band ok go as claiming. it means you asserted rights against someone & they want to get to the bottom of it. twitter.com/tmbg/status/16…

While I get that the legal terms have been used a little loosely here, this is an odd one. For me personally even though I'm aware that it's a common phrase, I think of the band first if I hear "OK go." It seems a strange choice of name for a cereal item. Just sayin'
