2/ I have a ton of questions about this object, which we’ll hopefully have answered when some big ‘scopes point at it. It’ll be bright enough for them to get good data, and we have *months* to do so.

3/ One of the biggest is one this comet cannot answer. At least not alone: How often do these things blow through? One study I read said there is *always* one within Earth’s orbit around the Sun (expanded into a 3D sphere around the Sun). At least a small one.

4/ As I mentioned in the article, little ones in the galaxy may be so prevalent they could help seed planetary formation. W H O A. It’s possible 4.56 billion years ago our own Earth got a kickstart growing by objects like this comet and ‘Oumuamua.

Yup. I expect that will settle down soon, but the fact that it’s hyperbolic seems pretty well established now.
