How big are stars? Very, VERY big. This *fantastic* video will show you. Seriously, it’s the best one I’ve ever seen to show the scale. Amazing. https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/a-sense-of-scale-vfx-artist-shows-you-how-big-the-biggest-stars-are …pic.twitter.com/joji8Zsa8L

Here's a pic I took the other night of both Rigel and Betelgeuse :)https://twitter.com/philverney/status/1053815808374259712 …

Tonight's stargazing. If you look in the SE of the sky now (and it's clear!) this is pretty easy to make out. #astrophotography. pic.twitter.com/4v0FVXTg7Q

Nice. I love it when Orion starts poking over the eastern horizon before I go to bed.

Question: How do we know Betelgeuse will explode in less than a million years? That seems to be an awfully specific prediction.

Really interesting content. All that searching for stars and they can’t find one woman to weigh in. Let’s get some better representation in these videos - kids will see this. It makes a big difference. It’s all of our responsibility.
