    Netflix has hit £1b in UK revenues. This should give profit of about £68m & tax liability of £13m. But because the law allows the firm to book profits through its Dutch parent it has paid no UK tax. Govt has had 10 yrs to end this kind of tax avoidance but has done next to zero

    Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the party of financial responsibility....

    Very soon the UK will push past the 2 trillion dollar debt point-of-no-return. Only the USA has a bigger debt than us (but theirs is manageable, ours is 313% of gdp). $35000 each! Eek!

    We've got hold of a leaked document which shows that the UK is willing to accept border checks in an EU trade agreement. It's another sign that the government is prepared to move away from EU food standards after Brexit.

    Air Transport. EU signalling here UK airlines will no longer automatically enjoy the right to fly people between two EU cities. Fifth Freedom of the Air refers to a UK airline being able to fly from London, to Paris and then on to Dubai, and carry people getting off in Paris.
