I get why. Kiwami was practically half the game that 0 was (and priced accordingly of course). I thought it was pretty good, but not as good as 0.
for whatever reason Kiwami didn’t click with me at all but Yakuza 6 is extreeeemely clicking with me

Kiwami was worth playing, but It would have been a bad first experience if I hadn't played 0 and 4 before. It got way better once I unlocked Tiger Drop.
