Anything is possible, but I'm guessing it's Smash 5 (5ma5h). The working title on the Nintendo website is Nintendo Switch Super Smash Brothers, and they've been pretty up front about DX releases so far.

Also Breath of the Wild Link? Would make a weird port if they just switched him like that

I dunno, man. With so many ports on the Switch - even several announced during this Direct - I feel like they would’ve been upfront about this being one. I think this is a new game.

Why would anyone even WANT Smash 5 when they could have an overhauled/improved version of Smash 4 with more characters? What could Smash 5 possibly do to live up to Smash 4. Even just matching Smash 4's roster would be an insane task.

They were actively balancing the game with content from launch to 2016, it has to be a deluxe version unless they are crazy

I think it just wouldn't make sense to rush out 5. Smash 4 is a perfectly suitable and beautiful game/engine that didn't get enough attention. My guess is it will be 4.5, with plenty of added features, characters, levels, and my hope is a million character skins.

After that reveal, saying it's just 4 redux would be an expectational letdown.
