This isn't ignorance of complex power dynamics, it's ignorance of consent and not objectifying women. It's not new, it's just not invisible.

I can understand why you'd apologize, but don't let them make you out to be a monster. You committed social faux pas, not harassment.

Nick, I appreciate the thought that clearly went into your apology. My gripe with this is that you, perhaps apprehensive about it, have (1)

not used the vocabulary that makes me believe that you truly understand that what you did was harassment, regardless of severity (2)

I can't speak for others but thank you for your honesty. This is a step in the right direction (I think.)

I hate to use so many qualifiers but the critical thing now is follow-through.
