the southern accents were a way to translate Mitsuha's propensity to speak in dialect, since english doesn't have commonly-known dialects
the Your Name dub was OK! a few crits: • the "southern" accents • the english Radwimps songs are bad • the word "boobies" in a pivotal scene

That last one killed the scene. I didn't notice they were trying to give them accents until it was pointed out.

The accent thing was my main issue. i liked the songs and the last one I didn't even mind it as I was riding that emotional coaster.
