Switch User IDs are separate from NNIDs?
between Club Nintendo, My Nintendo, eShop user accounts, NNID, and Switch User ID, Nintendo has made more accounts than actual online games

they're linked, but yes. you have to create a separate username for your Switch ID, so people are scrambling to get em now
