the localization in the Pokemon games is straight-up bad and nobody talks about it for some reason

I think it was only actually bad loc in the early gens, now they just recognize that's part of their brand and do it on purpose
i think Pokemon gets a free pass on a bunch of stuff, including the writing, and the excuse always sounds a bit like this
