sorry, i'm so awful at this stuff: do i have everything i need to make this work? the included adapter seems super shortpic.twitter.com/dtSCAVmNyO
found the cable! at the risk of embarrassing myself… is this right? or should i remove the old one and have one cable running to the PSU?pic.twitter.com/32csI1nZ6x
You could have it set up like this if you want less cable clutter, but it should work just fine either way.pic.twitter.com/4rJzPicQes
i wound up doing basically that!pic.twitter.com/FMEr5OSvvZ
Not correct, you can only do that if your card had 2 6pin inputs, but for 2 8pins you need two cables.
6pin = 75W and 8pin = 150W so 2x 6pin = 8pin but 2x 8pin does not equal 8 pin.
so you need two 8pin to 8pin cables from the psu to the card
would this setup work? it's two separate cables going to the PSUpic.twitter.com/Mm2AJ7LdjP
Yes, with 2x 8pins you have to do that or the card would be underpowered
okay, i'll plug it back in how i originally had it
