that cable is for something different. You should have extra cables that came with your power supply.
You might have a longer one around somewhere if it bothers you. Everything is fine tho. Plug that big boy in!
as long as you're plugged in from video card to psu, you should be good. Is short too short?
there should be two more cables, called 6pins, that fit in the two 6 pin connectors on the PSU. you want to connect one end of
BOTH of those to that EVGA cable on the SPLIT end, which should MERGE the two connectors into one for the card
