This is the *worst* idea and an incredibly lazy justification. Mysterious patches cause MORE community drama, not LESS.
i don't disagree it can hurt, but idk if "lazy" is the right word — they obviously have the info but are choosing to withhold it

One of the reasons I think From Software and Nintendo avoid detailed notes is they'd have to translate it into 10+ languages.

Similar here: it has to pass through PR, etc. When apps/games have a one-line notes like "balance updates and fixes" it's lazy.
