I think it's great it exists! I don't know why people are so eager to mention Overwatch (Hero shooter aside) when they're clearly targeting different niches, and that's perfectly ok! I think I'll still prefer the more ability-centric hectic gameplay of OW but this looks great too

Lawbreakers was an arena shooter, and a really solid one at that. Its main issues were it tried to compete with Overwatch who has the backing of a giant company while being part of a currently niche genre AND highly inneficient expensive marketing.

I don't think you're wrong about Valorant. I wouldn't describe Apex as PUBG with abilities, but there's definitely an interesting layer of gameplay added with abilities in shooters
