ouen screenings are cool ok :( though yes there should be designated screenings of this type like it's supposed to be done instead of doing it on some random showing
yeah, i think it'd be fun if it was a movie i loved and knew well already! i'm just not crazy about the idea of fans unofficially dominating existing screenings (especially when there's only like 3 total showings per region here in the US)
yeah doing it especially on an opening night is kinda dumb, lol tbh i don't think ouen screenings will ever transcend boundaries, it really is a concept just like wotage that ONLY japanese nerds can relate to wholeheartedly
sorry for my rando comment but US had a successful official ouen screening for another anime movie earlier this year! It can be done! I hope it at least becomes enough of A Thing that it’s done responsibly instead of just confusing people because they’re really fun if done right
