Yeah I agree, but at this point any new stuff shown off is presented by one side as "HEY LOOK GAMEFREAK ISN'T LAZY HERE'S PROOF" and the other side as "NO THAT WAS IN THIS GAME"... both sides are pretty determined to nitpick and that's just going to lead to more outrage.
totally! i probably fall somewhere in the middle - i think calling them ‘lazy’ is really shitty, but i also think Game Freak mis-prioritizes things a lot and make some really baffling decisions as a result

I also think that maybe they might have too strict a deadline and since Pokemon GO did so well pokemon company is apparently diverting its resources away from the main series toward mobile projects. I still hope it turns out well. But I'll wish it were more y'know?
