I know not every article is written to me, but honestly, I can't think of any of my friends who watch anime that haven't seen NGE. We were all in highschool or college when it ran on adult swim. Everybody else either watched it online (using magic) or isn't in to anime.

its not that its easier to watch or anything, they just translated the japanese extremely literally, i have no idea why they couldnt just keep the original script it didnt need any changes
