i do genuinely wanna ask, though: when you watch a murder mystery or a true crime documentary, do you get mad when they don't tell you the 'answer' in the first 3 minutes? why is telling a complete story with an impactful ending totally OK on television, but verboten on YouTube?

In a murder mystery, you know who gets murdered at the beginning. From there you build the backstory, the motives, the suspects, and then the denouement.

I genuinely believed the most compelling way to tell this story to a general YouTube audience was to place the 'reveal' at the end. My feeling was: if all you want is the character's name, go look at a wiki article - but there's a story to tell here, and it's an interesting one
