I realise that but your statement was "Twitter is making drastic changes in the next update". Which is simply not the case and can be rather misleading since it was not announced that these changes are coming in the next mainstream Twitter update.

Ah dang - sorry, must’ve misread it, thought it was basically saying it was being prototyped for the next update alongside the camera update; there was only a sentence on the update in that article. Hope it doesn’t happen! Shall delete the tweet. Not my intention to misinform.

The fact that he would rather keep up this inaccurate tweet for the sake of Retweets/Likes instead of retracting it to post a correction, does pretty much prove how important these visible metrics are to people. Sadly more important than honest information and news, it seems.
