not to be a downer, but i don't think people are prepared for how gnarly Labo VR is gonna be the Switch's built-in screen is 720p (50% of PlayStation VR). that's 640 x 720 per eye, viewed through a fisheye lens and capped at 60fps. it's gonna be ROUGH

Imagine, though, playing VR versions of slightly upscaled, model-shaded re releases of old N64 games. Like specifically I am so stoked to grab that little camera and actually take photos in Pokemon snap. I learned everything about photography from that game

I think people are expecting too much out of this, a product (Labo) aimed directly at kids. Though I do believe Nintendo may be using this as a trial to dip their toes in the water for future projects in the VR realm
