i didn't enjoy Sun/Moon as games, but Rowlet + Litten + Popplio were fantastic designs with very distinctive silouhettes! the Gen 8 starters are sorta just 3 identical big-headed babies with identical silhouettes

oof, seeing the last 3 generations of starter Pokemon side-by-side really makes it obvious that the gen 8 starters are... kinda samey and boring compared to the last couple gens
